Teachers Day out
This was on the grand day out at the end of term, for the full story have a look at my other blog where I seem to have put up the best picture from the day already. So two are the best of whats left. A portrait I quite like and a landscape from the first toilet stop :)
Traditional Village
A couple of weeks ago the school district had it's annual outing for the foreigners under it's employ. We were taken to a traditional village lovingly recreated for the modern Korean and foreigner. After a few cold days of blinding sunshine and pure blue skies this was the day the weather decided to break, so it was a somewhat damp, foggy affair.
Korean culture of old it seems was mainly obsessed by the need to have male heirs to carry on the family name.
This is exactly what you think it is. Traditionally hung outside the house in order to encourage the birth of a boy in the family.
